With the 2010/11 transfer rumour mill already beginning to swing into action - Juan Hernandez to Racing, Danny Cipriani to Stade Francais? - I thought it was about time to republish the definitive list of who moved where during 2009, including 'medical jokers' who have switched clubs mid-season (such as Brive's capture of former Stade Francais winger Nicolas Jeanjean).

Not all the 2009 signings have proved successful, but judging by the league standings at the start of 2010 it seems that Messers Philippe Saint-André, Pierre Berbizier and Castres' two Laurents - Labit and Travers - can all sit smugly back and congratulate themselves on successfully strengthening their respective squads.

Perpignan's lack of summer business is now beginning to look somewhat over-confident, while the jury remains out on Stade Francais, who of course have also switched head coach from Ewen McKenzie to Jacques Delmas since the season began.

Best signing so far? Jonny Wilkinson must certainly be up there, while Stade Toulousain pair Louis Picamoles and Yann David have both justified their soaring reputations. What about Sébastien Chabal and Lionel Nallet at Racing-Métro 92? Or Argentine player of the Year for 2009 Juan Martin Lobbe at Toulon?
