 French Rugby Club is a new website dedicated to coverage
of Top14, arguably the most exciting and dynamic domestic
league within Europe.
Current champions Toulouse are the acknowledged giants of
European rugby, and the league’s overall standing has again
been confirmed with the signings of such world stars as Dan
Carter and Sonny ‘Bill’ Williams confirming its pull for
players from both codes – Union and League.
Here at French
Rugby Club we aim to give you, wherever you are, the latest
news and results, as well as match reports, features and
in-depth player profiles. Website editor Colin Spiro has
been a sports journalist with various publications for the
past 16 years, having worked his way up through regional and
national English newspapers and media, including work with
the Cambridge Evening News, The Mirror, the Daily Telegraph,
Channel 4 and other sporting publications.
He now lives in
the south of France, the heartland of French rugby, and felt
compelled to improve the level of coverage for English
speakers after being imbued with the love and passion for
the sport.
As French legend Jean-Pierre Rives so adroitly observed:
